Seller shipped promptly, and USPS did deliver it -- though a few days later than initially thought. Not the seller's fault in any way. Appears to have been shipped in original box with additional padding and another box outside (USPS Box). Drive seems to be untouched. The anti-static bag it was in was sealed, looked to be the original factory seal, with the little bit of extra stuff it came with from COMPAQ. Drive powers on, and media spins when I insert it. Eject button works as I'd expect.

The seller explains that the item has been used and works fine, but when I receive it, it doesn't emit any kind of signal through the audio outputs. I contacted him, and he excused himself by saying "it's something that happened during shipping," when there are damaged electronic components inside, not due to shipping. He knew this and took advantage of it. BE CAREFUL WITH THIS SELLER.
