Excellent card holder for 1952-56 Topps baseball cards. The quantity provides great value to allow the more valuable cards in a set to be protected. The holder is not very thick which is great to keep storage space to a minimum. The holders also fit into 4 card pages making it easier to enjoy viewing the cards. I highly recommend this holder for the cards for this era. UV protection is excellent to preserve quality of the cards.
Be careful! Loose fit allows card to slip under the ridges designed to keep card in place!
First, these look very nice. Easy to insert a card without damaging it. However, mine has one glaring defect, which precludes me from placing any highly valuable cards inside of it. (I purchased this holder for an expensive 1953 Topps card that's a gift for my father.) The hinged bottom is not quite tight, which allows the holder to have a bit of play side-to-side, but even worse, allows it to spread open just enough so that, when looking at the reverse of the card, it can slip between the ridges designed to hold the card in place and the flat front plastic! Had I not noticed this, a four-figure card could've been ruined by flipping the holder the wrong direction. (Pretty un-pro for a product called ProMold.) I am now forced to use a regular screw-down holder, with a special foam frame that allows the card to remain sandwiched in the lexan, but does not pinch the card. I would only recommend this type of holder for commons or cards in PR condition, etc. Shame, because the look is quite nice, and the size is way better than a PSA slab, IMO.
Nice case, but have some concerns about it only having one screw. I worry that if it is dropped it may open at the unscrewed end and there may be damage to the card. I believe your safe if you don't handle it a lot,
thanks for your great service, for the card holders. but when you put the card inside card holder & tighten the screw, it damages the cards ( it only puts a crease in the card), big problem with the product, not your fault. it only happens with '52-'56 topps cards, appears '48-50 bowman & '51-'52 bowman are ok, but i am transitioning to magnet holders.
