I've only owned premium factory knives and have never really appreciated Spydercos aesthetics. I finally decided to give them a shot and bought the Para II. I am highly surprised by the quality of this knife. I even disassembled it to view the internals and lubricate it. Spyderco's manufacturing tolerances are on par with much more expensive knives. The characteristic Spyderco opening hole makes for so many opening options too, from the thumb flick, spidey flick, and offhand flick. It is a very thin folder that rides unnoticed in the pocket or even inside workout shorts. I can't say I'm totally in love with Spyderco's aesthetics but this knife may change my opinion over time. It certainly is one of the sharpest initial grinds I've owned.
100% Real. Make sure you know who you are buying from, many fakes on eBay. Check YouTube on how to tell the fakes from the real ones. I see posting on eBay that are clearly fakes-I flag them to eBay, but they don't take them down. Back to the Paramilitary 2. It's an excellent knife. The compression lock (safer to close), and premium steel, make it worth buying (and made in USA). I do think it's a little overpriced, should be around $60 in my opinion.
Being A disabled Veteran, Army's 82nd airborne/Infantry I have certainly handled a lot of knives, I had heard for a long time about Spyderco Paramilitary 2. This knife has really impressed me it quickly became my favorite knife, Great craftsmanship it is just so sharp I love It! spyderco has my permanent dedication THANK YOU!!!!!
Spyderco makes some of the best knives out there. The heft of this knife let’s you know that it’s by your side when you need it. Love the copper scales. Can’t wait for a nice patina.Anyone thinking about buying this knife I would say, go for it, you won’t regret it. The PM2 is one of the best knife designs ever created.Thank you Spyderco for coming up with another awesome sprint run ( the Rex 45 was a nice added touch too 😍) .
Great iconic American knife. I have a bunch of Spydeco knives and love them all. Could have bought one a year ago for $20.00 less. Coulda shoulda woulda. .. I don't know why anyone wouldn't want a PM-2. You can customize them to be whatever you desire. I will be changing out scales, hardware pocket clip and adding a back spacer.
The title basically says it. If you know anything about knives than you know this company produces high quality products. It was shaving sharp out of the box, and the fit & finish was on point. Not to mention the s30v super steel either.
I didn't think I was going to like it cause of the size how big it was but when i got it. I think it is the perfect size. It geeks really good in the hand also. What else can I say it is a spyderco.
High grade blade steel is well above common industry pocket knife stainless steels. The 3 1/ 2 inch blade length means the knife is a little handier in pocket or in hand for many people. Pricey but worth it.
It's a great looking knife. The lock on my 1990's Endura looked stronger than this one (although it failed to lock every now and then). Time will tell if this new lock is an improvement in function but it takes more effort than the Endura did.
