1 hp 750w motor much better
I burned up my csm-1001 on leather from stalling, the csm-3000 hasn't stalled on the heaviest leather yet. Size 23 needle, on boiled leather 6mm 3 layers or 18mm of leather. Bees wax definitely helps too. Using size 11 needle on tule and silk works great as well. Setting up different bobbin carriers for changing threads helps a ton. If you already have a Consew needle positioner, all you need to get is the basic setup ie: csm-1000 or csm-3000. I haven't found the h-bridge chip that drives the motor, but at $150ish to get a new complete unit with motor, I don't worry about repairs. Only thing I wish they did was use hex head bolts to hold the belt cover to the motor, so I can adjust it with the pulley on. I have bolts on order to swap out the screws.

great product, gives me excellent speed control of my huge leather machine. making it a pleasure to use instead of the nightmare it was prior to this installation. i would recommend this to anyone using a clutch type controlled motor to make the change. . .

Strong Servo Drive, bad Consew service .
It is a strong servo drive . and has good low-end power on slow RPM . I put it on my heavy 135x17 needle Consew straight-zigzag machine . Only complaint is the drive sensor that is connected to the treadle-pedal . every time you turn on power . When treadle pedal pressed, it just takes-off and sews by itself and you have to kick it hard to get it to stop . Not my 1st servo and I sew for 25+ years and run 8 stations with machines in my small shop, and I have made all adjustments to the sensor lever that is possible . I called Consew service for help, and all they suggested for me, was to record and send video of the malfunctions for a tech. to review . Was Not much help for me and I not in business to make videos , so I just went back and went to work. I like it. Would recommend.
Fairly simple set up, quality seems to be adequate for what I plan to do with it. Durability and longevity are still to be seen, but it does just what I expected. I used the three factory mounting bolts for the base, attached the motor to the base, adjusted for belt tension and mounted the control box. Figure on about 1.5-2.0 hours to remove old and install this one if you unfamiliar with sewing machines. I love the adjustability of it.购买已获认证： 是 物品状况： 全新

Easy to operate and responds to foot pedal nicely.
The Consew CSM1000 installed fairly easy. Appears to be solid and well built. I've only run it for a minute or two, just to insure I wired it correctly and that the pully rotated in the correct direction, so I really can't comment on how well it works while actually using it to sew anything.购买已获认证： 是 物品状况： 全新

A wonderful addition to any industrial sewing machine!
Great value and quality! Such great little motor that can handle felling heavy 16oz denim back center seams on a Union Special 35800. Only a small lever extension was required to make it work on this unique machine. It replaced a heavy, way-too-fast and unpredictable clutched motor that would run away on me at the worst possible times. I can relax and sew with confidence now. I'll be buying more for my other machines!

Make your industrial sewing machine much more user friendly.
This is the second one of these motors that I have installed on 2 different industrial sewing machines. They’re quiet, powerful and they work well. Both of them have come with a four button controller instead of the two button controller that is shown in the picture. With a little bit of research, I’ve been able to get the speed to ramp up more gently by adjusting the parameters in the controller. It should be noted that this motor starts at 200rpm. It does not slowly accelerate to 200. It starts instantly at 200 and ramps up from there. Prior to installation of this motor, my machines were pretty uncontrollable for a novice like me.
