Single cross-axis manual slope mode with cross-axis self-leveling allows grade matching for basic slope work, while maintaining accuracy in the cross-slope. Kits available with system case which contain laser, receiver, tripod and grade rod.
I have a small side business doing backhoe work, some landscaping, retaining walls, etc. Needed a laser for grading and trenching, setting wall heights, etc. This fills the bill very well, is of good quality, and the carrying case is a real plus for protection running from job to job. This laser is capable of transmitting a pitch, but only if you purchase the RC601 remote. The Topcon lasers have a control on the transmitting unit itself, which the Spectra does not. I can kinda see why Spectra did it this way, but would have been nice to have controls on the unit in case the remote experienced problems out in the field. Overall, a very quality unit, solid and simple to use. I also use Spectra's CR600 magnetic receiver for my backhoe boom, and it is one of the biggest time savers there is in the digging business.
It's easy to set up and use, affordable for the "little guy", and will do more than just leveling. I liked the act that I could perform single slope functions with the optional remote and didn't need additional help. Very pleased with the purchase.
