I bought my son a Squire and we ended up doing some upgrades. One of the things we did was to replace the wiring harness with real electronics but then of course the old Squire knobs wouldn't fit the new bigger controls so we ordered these. They went right on and look great. Not too tight. Not too lose. Just they way they are supposed to go on. Oh...we had bought some aftermarket knobs before buying these. Big difference between these and the aftermarket knobs. The aftermarket knobs were totally cheap toy plastic where as these have some heft and balance. No more aftermarket junk for us! These are the real deal!
The right knobs for any Strat with 1/4” split shaft pots
These are genuine Fender knobs, which fit US/Mexican guitars, and in my case guitars from elsewhere which have been upgraded with CTS or similar potentiometers with 1/4” split shafts. They fit perfectly (can’t say that about trying to put 6mm knobs on 1/4” split shafts as the 1/4” is actually 6.35mm and thus your import-sized knobs are too tight to fit on the 1/4” split shafts. So: if you have a US or Mexican Strat, or if you upgrade your import (Squire) Strat, these knobs are the only ones worth bothering with.
