Used to be a Golf Pride guy...until i put my hands on a Winn Grip...!!! I like the winn dri tac ...Wrap....very comfy and the copper color is good looking butch Harmon...maybe the best teacher out there thinks so too....!!! Winn Baby..!!
These grips with the tour wrap are easy to grip and hang on to with light pressure Soft touch but seem to hold up. I have them in dark grey on my other clubs. Got the copper to go with my new Callaway Mavrick driver with orange shaft. Looks awesome !
I bought them because of how they looked online - rich and retro/vintage. It turned out they felt great as well - had some "give" in them and as the name implies, a bit of a tacky feel. They are a significant improvement regarding feel over my old grips - which were in decent shape. I regripped the clubs myself - nine irons. Had never done it before and was concerned about how they might go on. They were a tight fit - but I followed instructions and all went on without a hitch. Good looks, good feel, and bought at better price than I would have paid at a store (e.g. PGA Superstore) - I'm quite satisfied with the Dri-Tac grips.
While these might have helped shave off a stroke or two from my game, the biggest benefit is that my hands don't hurt after shooting in the triple digits. Another great benefit is that they look cool. Let's be honest, that is a big part of the game for those of us who don't make money playing it. I don't play in the rain, but these work well in the late summer when the humidity is at its highest for my area. Replacing the old ones is pretty straight forward if you have a vice. I'd recommend doing this yourself to save some money.
