Compatible with the following Reliance containers: 4 gal (15L) and 7 gal (26L) Aqua-Tainer, 2.5 gal (10L) and 5 gal (20L) Aqua-Pak, 2.5 gal (10L) and 5 gal (20L) Water-Pak, Jumbo-Tainer, and 5 gal (20L) water container.
Works perfectly as replacement, though has usual problem with this model
If you need a replacement faucet for your water container, this will work just fine. But like all of the Reliance square containers, the screw-in faucet doesn't always seal when the faucet is pointing downward. I've never understood why they went with this design with soft plastic threads. You wind up with either the faucet pointing in an awkward direction if you want a good seal, or you have it pointing down and dripping a little. So just go to the hardware store and buy a couple of inexpensive circular rubber o-rings that just fit over the threads of the faucet. Some combination of those o-rings will result in a proper fit when you screw it in for use during your camping trip. Nick in Palm Springs
A better value would have been to replace jug and spigot with an entire new purchase.
Perfect fit and replacement for original but quite expensive with shipping. A better value would have been to just replace the jug with a new one, but I hate to throw a perfectly good jug in the trash.
Cap, valve, and plug worked excellent. I had only broke my valve and didn't need the other parts but because they came with the cap and valve used everything that I got in the package. Great product...
The original spigot was thin plastic which broke. The new improved one gives me no doubt it will out last the life of my water container, Great improvement!
This is my second order of the replacement spigots7210-03. They have fit the jugs perfectly and I have found them to perform just as well as the originals that have cracked over the years of use.
Spigot worked great in replacing the one that broke on my 20 year old reliance 5 gal. jug. The cap wasn't quite the same and leaked so I used the old cap and had no further problems, so if you're replacing the spigot on an older jug, save the cap.
Having needed a replacement spigot assembly for some time, I finally broke down and got one. When it arrived, I pulled out the old cracked one to see if I will just end up with the same problem. The new spigot assembly does appear to be thicker where it is needed (the inner threads) and it feels heavier too, like it was made from more material all over. Give this a try.
Much better than the original that came on my container 20 yrs. ago I need another for my second container (20 yrs. also) broke that one 2 days ago in 15 deg weather.
