This is a fantastic product particularly for folks with an older washing machine without an automatic fabric softener dispenser. No Consistent Performance
Every time I try the Downy ball (perhaps because it was the cheapest one...) I never know what to expect. If I pull the ring taut it never opens. If I pull the ring closed but only extremely gently it may or may not work. If it does work there is always some blue Downy softener left in the bottle that often has leaked onto my clean wash!!! It's going in the trash. I will try again with the most expensive one. After all of this, I guess it is worth it..only if it works....Verified purchase: Yes Condition: New

Saved The Day!!

Love the downy balls!!
I love the downy balls since I don't have a fabric softener dispenser in my washing machine. This really gives me the opportunity to use fabric softener vs sheets. I don't have to run down to the washer hoping to get the rinse cycle. Just put softener in, close it and put it in the wash at the beginning.
