External or internal lock Style

These style of welded on lock mechinism, looking like a wart seem vulnerable to being knocked off by a large hammer. It's ok as a simple deterrent but, I like the style where the lock is built into the hollow of the metal. There was one style on eBay I saw that was internal. Just something to think about.
