Weak gears and noisy

This mobile had the potential to be great, but isn't. As many reviewers have said, the gear box is pretty noisy and you can hear it above the music. I've also found that the little animals hit the arm holding the mobile, and when they do, the gear mechanism that turns it is barely strong enough to get them past. Every time I hear one hit, I'm afraid the motor is going to give up the ghost.
