As it should have been done.

The relays are what Watkins should have used in the first place. My spa heater pulls 25 amps. There is NO way that amount of current can be run through the piddly liddle pins of the pcb attached relay. That setup has to fail...and it certainly does that! I can't say from years of use that this kit is impervious to future failure, but it is miles and MILES ahead of the OEM design. Note: Not looking at it now, but one of the pictures included as instruction showed the black shunt wire below the red. It is clearly stated that the red wire should run below the black and there is a pic that shows that alignment. It's a pic showing the attachment of the spades to the relays that I recall to show it the other way 'round. One more thing: No spade attaches to any NC of the relays. 'Common' and 'NO', yes, but not 'NC'. That is straightforward to what's going on, but for a person that didn't know what 'NO' and 'NC' and 'Common' mean that is trying to use this product, it could be a problem. Great job at putting this kit together. Good components, excellent crimps! Thank you!

Just tried it out. It works fine. Turns out, it matches what I thought I was hearing, NOT the number I was getting from the Mallory tach in the car. Maybe my hearing is off...but I doubt it. This matches a same item I used to own but misplaced it. Happy to get this one!

Not a good use of space

I gave this tool bag a try, replacing an Oneal bag that had worked well until I ripped it off the fender. I knew this bag had a large footprint but it is TOO large to be useful to me. Use of space? This bag has SIX flaps that do nothing but cover other parts of the bag. The flaps have no pockets, no zippered closures, no windowed slots, no elastic pockets...they are just flaps. STURDY enough flaps, for sure, but with them having no use but as a cover, that's a LOT of wasted space. It is put together well. If you have the real estate to bolt it on, it would serve well to protect not-very-much stuff in the way of tools/parts/supplies. I knew this was a gamble when I bought it. Another Oneal bag would have been my first choice, but they are no longer available.
