Great older PCIe HDMI capture card.
A good card that does not use up a lot of system resources, I can record and transcode files at the same time on a little Core2QUAD Q9650 / 3 Ghz with 8GB Hyper X RAM / GTX 760 and a SSD with a couple SATA HD's. I have used these cards exclusively here in the last couple years. Drivers install well in windows 7. I was using WINTV that came with the drivers disc but have here recently switched to ArcSoft Showbiz. Not as buggy and it is much easier to set a timer to record than trying to use the WINTV DVR function and program in record times. COMPONENT connections work well at 1080p but the connection between the cables and the card are weak, The HDMI connection is more secure but it does not record encrypted signals, requires other hardware for that.

Great little device, Ethernet connection much better than WiFi.
I have been using the cheaper wireless versions for several years and they struggled because the older WiFi spec they are hardwired with. Wanted to upgrade to the next size that supported the Ethernet cable connection. Traditionally Ethernet cables are more stable than WiFi and will run as fast as your hardware can handle. I know not everyone has Ethernet cables running through their houses but if you can switch to the hard line side, you will see more consistent speeds when running your connection test. For me though, I only see at the max 50 Mbps via Verizon (LTE) in my rural area for now, so anything over Cat 5e is overkill but it is nice to know whenever I can upgrade my ISP speeds (5G/UW), my hardware can handle more.
