It did not increase the weight or cost of the shipping, just made item safer to ship. I don't control the shipping costs. The post office does. All I do is enter parameters and ebay determines what the shipping would be. I shipped it in a padded envelope with bubble, but it did not add to the cost because it did not increase the weight enough to go up to the next ounce.
