The kit came with the extended charge battery and a 2.5 ah. This is exactly what I needed for some areas of our boat. Perfect for headlight restoration and small projects, do not expect to polish your whole car with this. I found the pads that came with the kit useful, but would defiantly invest in additional or more diverse pads to use the tool to its full potential
