The potency of this vendor's Ma Huang is way way way more powerful than other competing brands. I'd highly recommend one start off at 2-4 grams, steep for 5-10 minutes with occasional stirring, and enjoy! My suggestion is to sip the tea as one would normally. After finishing it, wait at least half an hour for effects to manifest. If you aren't feeling relief from your symptoms at that point, drink another cup of similar dosage. If you don't find relief after the second cup, please do not consume any more. IME, anything above 8 to 10 grams of this batch taken within a 4 hour time frame may heighten risk of cardiovascular illness, strokes, severe hypertension/tachycardia, psychosis/panic attacks/hallucinations and similar such potentially life threatening malaises. DO NOT ABUSE THIS MEDICATION. TO DO SO IS ANALOGOUS TO PLAYING RUSSIAN ROULETTE WITH YOUR HEALTH AND YOUR LIFE. This is one of my favorite plant medications, superior in efficacy, IMO, to pharmaceutical grade ephedrine/pseudoephedrine preparations. Please treat this herb with respect and use only as needed in modest amounts responsibly PRN 4-6 hours apart.
