In stalled this on a 97 Intruder 1400 and the difference was obvious right away. You choose your preferred power curve using dipswitches on the backside. Kind of a pain to make changes, but once you dial it in you will love the result.
I installed this on my 1998 intruder vs1400. Though it was the coils but before i ripped out the old coils i plugged this in and it came right up.. Been running this box since summer with no problems. For the money I recommend this over stock. Lucky we have DYNA because SGP is 1400$ for the box and doesn't have all the great tuning.
Great product at a reasonable price. Very good value!!
Bought one for my '03 1400 Intruder. Just got it dialed in after other issues and it certainly seems to give a bit more power in the mid range and definitely pulls hard near the top end. Have done filters, jetting and exhaust mods and so as suggested in the supplied sheet used the Phase 3 settings. Am happy with that as i want mid range rather than top end performance. Well worth the money am real pleased with the result!!
Excellent product. Fit's exactly in the place of the old one. Sells for about 1/3 of the retail price of a stock one from Suzuki if they can find one. This product also allows for two options that the stock unit doesn't allow. You can set maximum RPMs and choose from 6 spark curves based upon other performance upgrades ( jet and exhaust ). I set my ECU to spark curve 2 which is the most agressive curve with stock jet and exhaust. I can tell the difference immediately.
I set the switches per the instructions, plugged it in, started motor, it worked! I really like the blinking light, it told me the signal was present to fire. Great benefit. And if you like to experiment...it's tuneable.
well it looks real good installed real easy the only problem is doing the right setting for a 2001 suzuki 1400 intruder im not sure what setting i should putting it at
Works great ! Couldn't be more happy ! Mechanic said it was pretty much a plug and play ignitor. And I saved a bunch of money compared to the cost of the OEM igniter
